A proud non-portfolio-school graduate, Sarah weaseled her way into the industry, transitioning from traffic to copywriting, thanks to the support of Atlanta ad originals at the former agency of Sawyer Riley Compton and an incredibly embarrassing, self-art directed portfolio of ads for Blockbuster Video and ecstasy.
Even though she—a copywriter—wrote emails in all lowercase and with no punctuation at the time, Sarah somehow landed on the West Coast, where she honed her skills at VitroRobertson, Ignited USA, and Red Door Interactive. Throughout her tenure, she’s worked across B2C and B2B for clients like IHG Hotels & Resorts, ASICS, Baskin-Robbins, California Avocado Commission, Dole Fresh Fruit, Taylor Guitars, and Deloitte. In her day-to-day role at Hothouse, Sarah works to prove that you don’t have to be an a-hole to be a good creative director and strives to support the next generation of creatives just as she was supported.
